Amelie was born in Watervliet on 9.2.1812. She was first married in Waterland-Oudeman on 31.7.1833 to Jacob Bernard Maenhout.

On 30.10.1848 they went to live in Aardenburg. She died there on 11.6.1869 and he died in Sint-Laureins on 27.8.1882.
