Below on the picture someone wrote: "Wulpen, 13 April 1914." Wulpen is a town in West-Flanders, north of Veurne. It is now part of Koksijde. Many thanks to Mrs. Marie-Christine Vandevelde for this picture. |
Maria Theresia De Kimpe (44) (° Pervijze 30/01/1892 - † Pervijze 19/08/1976). The maiden name of her mother and of the mother of August Logier was Broucke.
Many thanks also to Mrs. Godelieve Buyse for her help with the identification
of some of the persons posing for this picture.
Godelieve Buyse ? Who is she ? A long story.
Here we go.
Below follows some information on 3 of the 10 children of
Carolus Broucke and Rosalie Decoster:
- Isidoor Broucke who married Marie-Louise Aernoudt
- Louisa Broucke who married Karel De Kimpe
- Albertine Broucke who married Herman Logier.
One of the children of Isidoor Broucke and Marie-Louise Aernoudt was Alice
Broucke who was married to Cyrille Vandevelde. André Vandevelde, one of
the children of Alice and Cyrille married Alice Kerchof and they had a daughter,
Marie-Christine Vandevelde whom we wish to thank once again for the picture above
and for so much help and information.
Louisa Broucke and Karel De Kimpe had a daughter Maria Theresia De Kimpe (44 in
the picture above) (° Pervijze 30/01/1892 - † Pervijze 19/08/1976).
She was married to Joseph Buyse and Godelieve Buyse is their daughter.
Albertine Broucke and Herman Logier had a son August, the husband of Julia Van Hyfte
who was the daughter of
Dionysia Van Hootegem.
Cyriel Vandevelde and Alice Broucke had another daughter Georgine. She was the
wife of Gerard Noë.
And most of you who read all this understand why this is the end of this
explanation.
Except that we found some of the missing pieces of this jigsaw puzzle thanks to the
publication here of the genealogy of the Van Hootegem / Van Ooteg(h)em family.
We would never have tried to find and then publish this family tree had Sara Coblin
née Noe not written to us to tell us about her great-grandfather
August Noë
who had emigrated to the U.S.A. where he got married to
Sophie Van Hootegem.
