The farmhouse of the Huysmans Farm, beautifully restored.

Here and here we have two pictures taken on the same farm in October 1944 when many polders were inundated,
when the armies of the Herrenvolk were retreating and running out of men and enthusiasm for the war
and when many people from around the Leopold Canal had been ordered or forced to seek shelter out of harm's way.
